...And so, at the end of our journey, all hazards safely circumnavigated, the bitter cold limited only to the ice in our drinks, the awesome sounds rising above those of the chatter and clink at the bar, the constant danger one of mild electrocution from a dodgy microphone, and all souls accounted for without any doubt - The honour and recognition for making this a success is all deservedly due to those who help us in tirelessly promoting and spreading the word in the weeks leading up to our event, those who helped us on the day, those who supported us by making pilgrimage to the show, AND not least - The Ramsgate Hovercraft, Longstone, Pete Bassman, Land Observations, Yellow6, Dutch Courage - without whom there would have been no show!

We thank you all!

The acoustic hillbilly folk rock duo of Matt Goody and the majestically bearded Joel Pritchard will be casting us off on our Extraordinary Expedition (into sound) on Saturday 25th April at the Ballroom, Canterbury.

With a gamut of original songs from the free and easy, summer breezy, Southern California sound of ‘Two Chords, One Cup’ through to the fast and furious frenetic punch of ‘The Fucking Song’, Dutch Courage are fun and an as yet to be discovered force majeure of finger blistering string rhythms and voice.

Discover the undiscovered during this Extraordinary Expedition (into sound)...

Pete ‘Bassman’ Bain, an original member and the bass man for highly influential Spacemen 3 for the best part of their years, founder of The Darkside, and subsequently founder of Alpha Stone (described as “a less sublime, more groovy, danceable ‘Spiritualized’”). Pete has also collaborated with Sonic Boom (Peter Kember – also Spacemen 3) on a number of his Experimental Audio Research (E.A.R.) albums.

Pete Bassman travelled down from Rugby to Canterbury to play a mind-blowing set at the Sound Pilgrims ‘Experiment’ in 2012. Played to a backdrop projection of the Kenneth Anger satanic, occultist short film ‘Lucifer Rising’, Pete, playing a twelve-string teardrop guitar, mesmerized us all with a trippy, sometimes dark and brooding, psychotropic, consciousness expanding, music experience.

We are absolutely delighted that Pete will return to Canterbury for the Extraordinary Expedition on Saturday 25th April.
